I have a corrupt module on the home page of my Portal that I need to delete.

I cannot delete it through the UI - the settings and delete options are not available.

Therefore I think the only way to remove it is via SQL.

I thought I would only need to remove it from the TabModules table, but this doesn't seem to be enough. I have set the IsDeleted flag to true in the Module table for this particular module.

So can anyone suggest what else to do to remove this module from my home page/portal?

Another option is to copy the Home page and include all of the modules except for the bad one.  Then, in Admin, Site Settings, set the new page as the Home Page of your site.  Once you've done this, you can delete the "bad" home page.

The way I do it is to get the URL for another Module Settings on that page then do a View Source on the page to work out the ModuleID for the one missing the Settings icons and use this ModuleId in the first URL to get to the settings page.
