Hi!

I am looking for a simple Text/HTML module that handles automatic change of content according to a predefined plan. E.g. from monday to friday it will display some text, and from saturday to sunday it will display some other text. Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks!

My ContentDejour module project in the DNN Forge:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Forge/tabid/824/ctl/Details/mid/3713/Projectid/101/Default.aspx?page=6&filter=1

is a Text/Html module which serves up it's content based upon the month, day of month/year, day name, timespan within a day, etc. It comes close to your requirement but unfortunately does not offer selection of content by weekday vs weekend day or for a range of day names. It could be modified relatively easily to include this capability. I'll put that enhancement on my "to-do" list but can't promise when/if it would be completed.

I tried out your module and it looks good.  My need is for something that updates content on a weekly basis.  I realize I can create seven consecutive days of identical content, etc. but it would be way cool if an iindividual entry could have a "begin date" and "end date" as a specification option.  Just a suggestion for the next version :)

I know no 3rd party module that could meet your needs, and I'm certain that you wont find this feature in the latest Text/HTML core module... however...

If you're ok with using some DHTML, you could use the core Text/HTML module and add both the content Mo-Fri and Sat-Sun inside a differente div. Then, you could build a simple javascript function that will be in charge of toggling in/out each of the divs according to the clients date.

A small example:

This is could work as a small workaround while you find a more proficient module. The only real drawbacks is that you depend on the clients computer time to toggle in the content and that you would have to pay extra attention when editing any content that's inside the div and be sure that youre putting it in the right section.

Hope this helps, cheers!
