Hi folks

When I want to move from a Dev environment to a LIVE Hosted environment do I need to BackUp the database on SQLServer and copy it across as well as all the files  ?  The reason Im asking is because the database exists already as a Database.MDF file within the Website file structure so it will already be copied across with the rest of the files?

thanks

it depends on your active connection string (not the commented line!!!!!!!)

if the active CS contains "database.mdf" you do not need to backup database, otherwise you do.
