Hello, I tried host/dnnhost and this did not work.

 

I tried admin/dnnadmin and this did not work.

I thought maybe the new installed may have inderited the old password for the old install (overwritten). But, that did not work either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 Ddi you upgrade or install fresh, or did you 'accidently' use the install package over a current installation?

During some methods of installation it will ask you to enter the username/password for host and admin (not sure if all do, I just run custom), which then it would be what was entered.

please read here, how to regain host access (requires direct access to the database).

Thank you Sebastian, for your information. I probably did what you mention above. If I wanted a clean install, should I delete the contents of the application before adding the new files? What would be the best way to acheive a new, clean install?
