I am sure this may be simple (but not easy).

Upgraded the site per instructions (redid my config file, copied the downloaded upgrade package to the currently running site, reaccessed the site) and the site comes up but I cannot log in. I get the following message:

Error A critical error has occurred.
Method not found: 'System.Collections.Hashtable DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfigBase.get_ModuleSettings()'.

Can this be fixed or do I need to go to a backup?

Thanks for the time.

Regards,

Christopher Koeber

Please search forums.dotnetnuke.com for how to resolve the error or wait for 5.0.1.

Thanks....

I am getting the same error. I checked the 'fix' at this URL http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2131/DNN-5-and-get_ModuleSettings-When-Login-is-Clicked.aspx where the instruction was "If you open the Authentication table in the database and remove both the lines that reference Cardspace and ActiveDirectory you'll be able to login without a problem."

I opened the Authentication table but didn't find a reference for Cardspace or ActiveDirectory. The only lines in that table were for LiveID, DNN and OpenID.

Any other suggestions to remedy my logon problem? Thanks

John

Hm, you learn something every day :) I didnt know there was friendly URL forums.dotnetnuke.com that redirects to the unfriendly URL www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/795/Default.aspx.  Sorry, off topic .. as you were.

JK.

Try removing entries for LiveID/OpenID if you don't use them or wait for DNN 5.0.1
