Hi Everyone,

Is there any way from where i will get all the file extensions which are valid in Dotnetnuke 5.0 while packging our module. Actually i i crete a zip file for my module and try to upload it into the DotNetNuke 5.0 framework it shows me errors message INVALID FILE EXTENSIONS . then just with my guess i delete some files and then again try but it is nota good way. Could you please help me on this.

log in as host, go to host->host settings. Expand the "other settings" area, and you'll see a section called "file upload extensions", that controls what types of file can be uploaded. The default is "swf, jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif, bmp, png, doc, xls, ppt, pdf, txt, xml, xsl, css, zip". If you want to support additional ones add them to the comma delimited list.

Note: there is a checkbox during upload that allows you to ignore invalid extensions. This allows you to ensure that you only allow invalid extensions deliberately such as when you upload modules.

Thanks a lot for your reply Cathal !!!
I did the same as you mentioned but now when i try to use my module on a page it is giving me the following error message.

Error: ModuleName is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Modules.ModuleHost.LoadModuleControl() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Could you please tell me how i can handle this ?

Thanks
Akshay

go to host settings and restart app (comamnd at the bottom)

if this doen't help, go to EventViewer in Admin menu and try to get the details of the error.
