I'm running dnn 5.0 with AD-Auth. Everything works fine except the fact that I can't change user-profils. The reason is the usernam provided by AD. All my usernames are like DOMAIN\Username. When I try to change an other item of the userprofil (like e-mail) the error message "invalid username" appears. Any workaround for that?

Thanks

I'll have to take a look at it. I've heard through another user that the core was changed on what was allowed in usernames (this user had usernames like firstname.lastname). If this is true then it's a core bug and not a bug with the AD provider.

Thanks Alex. That's the issue I was thinking of.

So when is this going to be fixed?

I am also quite alarmed to see that it's listed as a trivial bug. This is far from trivial! Unless of course you wish to encourage users to go into core code and fiddle around with it!
