Hi Oliver,

As I now finally have got your module to work on my site, I have a couple of questions/wishes I would like to mention.

First: I have more than 4000 pictures on my Home Server. I am now currently uploading all of them to Flickr. I see that your module doesn't provide any ability to select which sets/folders to browse. All of the public photos will be displayed in the result window, even if the pictures are belonging to different sets/folders. I would like to see a treeview control (or something similar), where it is possible to select which set/folder to view. Is this possible?

Second: This is more a "nice to have" feature. I am currently tagging my photos. It would be very nice to have a tag cloud. Again, the most important feature is my first wish.

Keep up the good work. I hope you will continue to develop your module. It's free, and it works great!

Best regards,
Tom-Roger

You should be able to bind directly to a photoset through the flickrapi, lets go back to the flickr sample url...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/12037949754@N01/sets/72157594162136485
The red text will be the username, and the blue text will be the gallery... This should bind the module to that specific photoset, and not your entire photostream. Let me know if you have any problems with this. I'm working on getting an album selector into the next release that will simplify the process of configuring the module. I also need to fix the help text associated with those fields.

As for the tag cloud, I'll add that into the list. However, the UNC provider won't be able to utilize such a feature, as the files won't have any tags...

And for the navigation of the lightbox mode via keyboard shortcuts, some of the rendering plugins support that out of the box and others do not. I'll look into getting something like this working across the board.

Hi Oliver,

I am able to bind directly to a photoset. It works perfectly! However, if I want to display several photosets with your module, I will need to configure several modules. I was thinking of a album selector that works "live". You could bind the selector to your module, enabling the user to select album "on-the-fly".

As for the tags... I can see that Flickr automatically builds a tag cloud from my photos.  I don't know if you are able to read this with the flickr api? I understand that tag cloud will be difficult with the UNC provider. However, an albumselector as mentioned above will make navigation easier.

For your information: I found a freeware application called FlickrSync. This works great. This application enables me to automatically sync my shared photos folder with Flickr. The application automatically creats sets from my folders, and uploads the files. It also monitors the "modified date" of my photos and syncs the edited photos with flickr. Exactly what I need.

Luckily I installed the DNN 5 release and added the Picasa module to it. I am currently mastering on how to fix and arrange my photos in Picasa. I just wish the DNN would add the Adobe Photoshop or Image Forge module.

Excellent module looking at your site, I shall try it out later in the next few months...

Two things I noticed on your site using IE7:

a) The Previous/Next buttons are far too close, in fact I would have the Next button on the extreme right hand side.

b) When I first clicked Next I got a scroll bar.

Great stuff....

Thanks..

Alex Shirley
