Having fun here.  Decided to start completely over having found that DNN 5 was a bit of a dead end.  Wiped everything and downloaded 4.9.1 installed and wouldn't work (twice).  Downloaded 4.8.4 and installed.  Ran install said ok.  Clicked link to go to site 403 error.  Upgraded it to 4.9.1 ok.  Clicked link to go to site 403 error.  What am I doing wrong.

Followed Mitchel Sellers instructions TO THE LETTER and it hasn't worked.  I just want a working version of 4.9.1 so I can get on and install a store on my site and start earning money!

Running MS SQL 2005 on remote server.  ASP.NET 2.

DNN 5.0 actually worked just couldn't run any store modules!

Looks like you are not setting up IIS and/or portal aliases correctly. YOu need to make sure file permissions are from the parent folder all the way down to the child folders as wekk.

Perhaps if you use the same folder for installation for 4.9.1 as you did for 5.0 you will see it works.

I would wait for 5.0.1 and post in the store module forum about compatibility with 5.0.1.

There are also third party store modules as well.
