I have a web site that I would love to move page state persistence into memory on.  When I enable it, I can see a performance gain:  Load latency reduces by almost a full second and the first page load after an application pool recycle is almost half what it was before.

However, like so many other people, I have issues when I enable it.  Nothing in any form on any part of the site is saved.  This is the same issue that others have had and I can't seem to find a resolution to it.

I personally do NOT recommend using this option, I've never been able to get a solid solution to get it working.

You can tweak other settings, like compression and caching to help with the overall load time, and if working with custom modules, enable/disable v13wstat3 on controls when necessary to reduce the size of v13wstat3.

What's funny is that ever since enabling this - I've long since disabled it - I've been having strange issues with my install.  I've even grabbed an older copy of my web.config and replaced the settings and taken the host settings from a default install and checked them against my active portal.

The problems, thankfully, don't show up when anonymous users are browsing - only when administering the website.  For example, the File Manager just up and stopped working yesterday after I moved the settings back to the default settings.

So strange.
