Hi. I'm a bit of a newbie with DotNetNuke so please excuse my ignorance but I trying to change the background colour of the "HeaderPane" container in a predefined skin called "ClearBusiness". I thought I could just edit the CSS:

/* background color for the header at the top of the page  */
.HeadBg {
         background-color: #ffffff;
}

in the stylesheet editor in "Site settings" and it would override the default CSS style of the skin for that particular element however i cannot get the color to change and am wondering what I might be doing wrong.

Cheers,

            Ben

Do you want to change the colour of the skin or the container?

Ok so the code you put was what was in the container.css file?

I have an article on my site that explains the css hierarchy - which might give you an understanding of where you need to change the code, and why, if you have done something it might not be working.  http://www.xd.com.au/resources.xd - the css hierarchy of  DNN css files.

Have a read of that and see if you have changed the right files.

Hi nina. I've looked under the file manager for the container.css file but can't find it. I don't have immediate access to the server hosting my DNN instance so I was curious to see whether just changing the stylesheet in the "Site Settings" section would overide the current skin and associated CSS file currently loaded. Am I going down the right track here or have I got things completely wrong?
