I've got a clean DNN 4.08.04 install - I created a blog with one test.  I then updated to 3.05.01.  I then deleted the module from the page, becaseu the blog needs to be created as a different user - and I could not figure out how to manually change the author.

So I deleted the blog, logged out and then logged in with the intended user probile and added a new blog.  SURPRISE!  The blog settings and even my test blog returned!

Whatever the problem is, I need to remove this blog and create a new one with the correct user profile...  any ideas?

Hi Rob,

the Blog module data is portal wide, this means that all the instances share the same data. If you delete the module instance, you don't clear data, and re-creating a new instance brings back your old data. Two instances of the module on different pages will share the same blogs as well. If you want to delete your test blog, login as the blog author and delete it. This is done going to Blog Settings: on the very bottom of the page you see a Delete link. Also note that it makes no difference which user account did create the module instance, but which created the blog.
