I was gonna start working a module that had developed some time ago that has some logic issues and since my laptop doesn't like working with vs.net2008 much (gets really sluggish) I thought I would create an install on my win7 box.  Install went fine, then I copied over the files I needed for my module and well I compiled and this happened... Any ideas?

What version of DNN were you building the module for? What version of DNN is the module currently setup on where it is erroring out?

that is the interesting part is the module wasn't even installed yet as in definitions in DNN... this module was being moved over to DNN5 in the RC2 release of 5.  I am currently now using the rtm version of DNN5.  I also had this working iwth version 4.8.  So this hasn't anything to do with the module ironically but after a build this is the result.  It fails on some initialization stuff for some reason, like ajax chokes on Windows 7, at least the built in flavor in DNN.

It was working just fine but when i started to play with getting it development ready it dies.

This was a fresh install since a previous install went TU as well while i was testing some eCommerce systems for future use.

Intersting I did a few runs with the debugger and it seems that DNN5 now can't find AJAX now, even thought .net 3.5 is installed by default.

I had this error after I introduced an Entity Data Source into my project.

The EDS required System.Web.Extensions V3.5.0.0.

I tried changing ALL the V1.* (I cannot recall exactly what they were) references inthe Web.Config to 3.5.0.0.  Same problem.  This thread http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/199764/scope/posts/Default.aspx gave me the clue to delete Syste.Web.Extensions.dll from the bin folder as well.  That cured it for me.

Best wishes,
