Hi How long does the installation take of DNN 4.9? I've been running the database scripting page now for almost 8 hours! It keeps saying the following: undefined...Success undefined...Success undefined...Success undefined...Success undefined...Success undefined...Success If this is an error, then what is causing it? I am almost ready to scrap DNN for something else... Best regards Andre

Was this a brand new installation? I would say something has failed and would try the installation again with a fresh approach.

if you are running the install from visual studio where you have it under a project name then you can see these errors. 1) you will notice the icons do not show up 2) the installwizard.aspx runs up to the scripts page and then continues doing nothing if so then after you get to and run the scripts page you can then go to install.aspx page to finish running the settup. The reason for this is the installwizard is made to run in IIS as the root and not in a project folder. Lorddog

 Hi

This is a new installation in the root. It is hosted on Mosso cloud server. The read/write test works and the database connection test works. The first line of the install gives a name of afile that was processed, but the rest is the meaningless line. It is almost 24 hours later and still running.

I'm running the installation from a browser window using the url. I have the same problem on version 5.0.0.

I installed the Install version of DNN in the root, changed the settings in web.config by modifying the database connection string and then started the install. Am I missing something?

Fustrated!

Andre

did you work this out yet? I have some hosting on mosso also but have not put dnn there. (going to be putting it on godaddy in a few days)

They give you a temp link to your website and I am not sure if that link is in the root or has a folder path to it. I guess I could ask if when you are running the install - do you see the images on the page or are they broken. if broken then after the database script page runs for about a min then you need to go to the install.aspx page and try running that. perhaps try that page anyways.
