I agree, however I *think* (and I could be mistaken... I'll have to peruse the changelog and forums) that I saw a change in one of these last releases or for a future release that said functionality would be or has been changed.  I know it wasn't in 4.9.0 but it might have made it into 4.9.1 or 5.0.
