Hello,

Something really weird is happening on a website i'm designing, I wasn't aware of it until the client told me it was happening. When u go to the dnn website, the browser automatically scrolls down a bit and one has to scroll up manually to see the top (and menu) of the website. U can access http://www.cinemacafe.com.do/Default.aspx and verify for ur selfs, if u don't understand what i'm saying.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? I've tested it on IE annd Firefox, the problem occurs on both browsers.

Thanx.

If you check your page source you'll notice a hidden field with ScrollTop as the ID.  I'm guessing it has something to do with that.  A quick google search turned up this thread. (I didn't read much into the thread but it might shed some light).  Sounds like an autoscrolling/positioning thing with the DNN DOM though.

Jp-

Have you added the LOGIN module to the page (perhaps in a sidebar below a menu or some other content)?  The LOGIN module automatically grabs the cursor focus and, if far enough down the page, forces the page to scroll enough to display the cursor location.

If not the LOGIN module then you'll want to look for any other input controls that may be taking control of the focus.

As a matter of fact I did add the Login module on the left pane but I didn't know that had something to do. I'll see if that's the problem. Isn't there a way to control that feature?

Thanx a lot.

Here's one simple method that can be applied to overcome this for any DNN module/page without altering module/core code:

Tip: Stop DNN page from scrolling on page load

Cheers!
