I am seeing the same error.
I have had to use the sql connection string because for some reason my sql server doesn't like anything else.

      name="SiteSqlServer"
      connectionString="Server=(local);Database=Website;uid=dotnetnuke;pwd=xxxxxxxxx;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys... the problem you're having (with IXWebHosting) is due to the fact that you've loaded DNN 4, and version 4 requires ASP 2.0, IXWebHosting is still running 1.1.  ( I know because I'm considering a move to them, and talked with their tech folks last night).

You should uninstall the 4.0 installation, and install 3.2.2, that alone should solve your issues.

Ixwebhosting only support ASP.NET 1.1 therefore only DNN3

You also need to get the admins to grant you DBO access to your Database and 'Full Control' to your website folders
