I have manually removed the problematic skin by deleting all of the relevant skin and container folders as well as removing all references from the applicable tables in the DB.

Does anybody have any ideas otherwise I am going to be forced to reinstall from scratch!

Cheers,

Tim

Could this be this problem:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=9076&PROJID=2

I have no solution for it I had it on a test installation and reinstalled it.

The issue is fixed in DNN 5.0.1 BTW

 if the error occured following a skin install -

you should find determine packageID the skin is using a database tool.  Look for the ID in the Packeges table then log on as host, use SQL and enter at command such as;

delete from packages where packageID = xx

XX is the package ID that represents the screwed up skin.  By the way the problem is also in 5.01. I got the error today after installing a skin.
