This is the following error I receive.

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

I'm not trying to upgrade, I have never had this on my machine before.

Any Ideas.

This error usually means the install can't find the db referenced in the web.config

Hi Jay,

I'm experiencing the exact same problem, has to do with the owner of the tables in the database... have you found any resolution yet?? I can't seem to figure it out for the life of me, and there isn't too much help on here... Let me know if you have any insights.

Thanks!

Paul

After a week of fighting my install, I figured out the issue that I was having.  After a whole week of banging my head on this system, it turned out that it was just one check box needed selected in my SQL 2000 properties.  What database are you using? SQL 2000, SQL 2005, SQL 2005 Express.  What Windows OS are you using?  Win2003, XP, Win2k.  Are you trying to install DNN 4.0.3?

With this information, somebody can probably point you in the right direction.  I am partly glad I had issues setting it up, if I didn't have those issue, I would not have learned the application so well.  Now, I am able to do a full setup that works in 5-10 min every time.  Keep at it, you will figure it out.
