I would like to create a role that is similiar to Admin but cannot see all the options in the Admin menu.  For example I want the role to be the same as Admin but cannot see Vendors, Event Viewer and Skins in the Admin drop down.

This is a pretty common desire.  Under DNN 5.x it's easy as all "admin" modules can be shared with non-admin roles.

For DNN 4.x, however, any module under the "ADMIN" tab can only be viewed by users with the HOST or ADMIN role.  One easy workaround (does not require changing any DNN code) is presented here:
