Been struggling with what should have been simple task to right align a horizontal menu. Read the documentation and read the SolPartMenu MenuAlignment property was mapped to ControlAlignment in the new DNN provider. My setting the property did not seem to have any effect, so I dove into source code and could not find any support for this property within the code. Maybe I am missing something.

Nevertheless would love to know how to right align a horizontal menu, or do I need to go back to SolPartMenu for this?

Thanks, Lauren

Without actually testing anything, the code is still there. I'm guessing you didn't dive deep enough... ControlAlignment="Right" should still function. You can see for yourself at line #264 in the Library\UI\Skins\NavObjectBase.vb. You can see this is the base class for the Nav SkinObject.

Seems like you're correct, I'm also noticing the ControlAlignment property doesn't effect the default menu in DNN5. I'm guessing you'll need to adjust the CSS to get the new menu to appear how you'd like, but I'm sure someone else will chime in with a more indepth answer.

Yes, I can see 'ControlAlignment' in the base class, but within the WebControls source it does not appear to be doing anything with this property for rendering purposes.  I have tried various CSS approaches and come close, but nothing seems to work consistently across browsers.

DNNMenuNavigationProvider doesn't seem to respond to ControlAlignment, SolpartMenuProvider does work, so it looks like the SkinObject is collecting the parameters correctly but the new menu provider is not  fully processing them.

You can set the provider of choice in your skin with ProviderName= in your ascx....

Having same problem

So...
Is there a way to make DNNMenuNavigationProvider align to the right side?

Thanks.
