Newbie question, but how do I remove a module from a ContentPane? I didn't see an option for that in the control panel of the page, nor were their any hover options to do so.

I've tried as both host and admin.

Should be an option from the module's dropdown menu (for users with "edit" rights to the module).  Also you can go into a module's SETTINGS and click "Delete" option down the the bottom (next to "Update" and "Cancel").

Make sure you are in either Edit or Layout modes. Their at the top on the page in side the controlpanel. Otherwise the Module Actions are hidden.

I'm in edit mode for that page. In the control panel, I only see options for "Add New Module" or "Add Existing Module", in addition to Page Functions and Common Tasks. There's no action involving deleting/removing a module here. I altered permissions to allow registered users to edit the page (but it shouldn't matter anyways since I was logged in as an administrator).

mamlin: where is the module drop down menu?

Thanks for the help all!

Depending which Skin/Container you are using, it could ltierally look like anything, and be placed almost anyplace around the module.

In the default skin/container it will be to the left of the Module Title. It will be a small arrow, that's the Module Actions menu activator.

You can also access some of the Actions below the module (also depending on the container used), by default Settings should be listed. Clicking on Settings will have a Delete button at the bottom of the module settings control.

If you are in VIEW mode, all that stuff gets hidden... (or not depending on the rights assigned to that module/page)
