The decision to upgrade a working commercial site is one that should never be taken lightly.

Best practices would include:

  1. Testing the new version in a development environment.
  2. Testing the upgrade of the live site in a development environment
  3. If 1&2 go well, upgrade the live site very carefully.

Before doing #3, you should make verified backups of both the web directory and the database in case something goes wrong and you need to roll back the upgrade.

I've recently upgraded to version 4.9.1 of the core. Since then, I've been plagued with 2 "bugs" :

I click on Username after a login. I'm taken to Manage Profile page. From there, I click on Manage Profile link and I get a pop-up window that says Unknown toolbar item "UniversalKey". The same pop-up windows crops up when I click on Admin-Newsletter. Is this a real bug or is it something to do with my site?
