Hi all,

A have a much discussed problem with redirections.

I have DNN 4.9.0 installed in Win2003 server and IIS 6.

The DNN is installed under the default web site in IIS, in virtual directory called 'servive'.

A new web site 'www.servive.eu' is created in IIS pointing at the DNN folder

I have added the allias   paris.atc.gr/servive  and  www.servive.eu (in that order) and checked all the permissions.

The first one works fine and you can have access to it over internet. The 2nd which is a bought domain name always

redirects to paris.atc.gr/servive.

I've tried changing the allias order in the PortalAllias table, adding AJAX extensions, changed trust level to Full

(all with IIS and DNN restart) but typing www.servive.eu always gets me redirected to paris.atc.gr/servive

I have even created a new parent portal and added the domain name as an allias to this (the new parent portal) but

it still redirected to paris.atc.gr/servive !

I tried all the solutions I found in forum as i have written above but nothing happens.

I wonder if there is anything else to lookup. Could it be anything about server's cache from the first time I tried

the domain without having the allias correct?

Thanks

do not use a virtual directory and a web site pointing to the same dnn installation.

1. add the new alias

2. setup web site

3. remove virtual directory or create a redirection to the new web site.

I somehow made it work with the structure mentioned at my initial post.

But I will delete the virtual directory anyway. Thanks for the reply
