Did you log it in Gemini. It would probably help to get the changes made in the core.

Its in Gemini now.  I did this right after the last message was posted, but forgot to update here.

Here is a link to the Issue on Gemini http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=4259

I put it under security.  Now hopefully it will be picked up.

Hi All,

I am doing the same thing on DNN 4.3.5. It work fine and won't create a user account if the user first login. However, all unauthenticated user could not see the website. They see a access denine information in browser. Is any possible that DNN could still display the website page to the user? Thank you.

Are they getting the standard windows unauthenticated message, or the built-in dotnetnuke message.  If the windows one, make sure that the permissions are set properly in the IIS structure.  What I did is via IIS the site has both anonymous and authenticated users allowed (per the AD instructions) then the login is set ot authenticated only.

For the DNN one, On the home page is is possible to add a module and set the visibility to show for only unauthenticated users.  This is how I approached my solution.  Therefore if someone does not have access, they are sent to the main page and see that module, which was a text/html in my case, with a message stating no access and how to request it.  If a user is authenticated, they do not see that module.

Hi nitro001,

I think I got the standard windows message. ( the message is not about unauthenticated, it's just a page not found message ).

In my modification, I added a deny role in the ASP.NET configuration page and changed the logon URL to "/admin/Security/Windowssignin.aspx".

After that, My domain account could login with no problem because my domain account has already added to the SuperUser in DNN. However, when I try to use another domain account which did not add in DNN, the problem happened.

Could you explain more deeply about how to set both anonymous and authenticated users allowed? Thank you and very appraciated.
