Hi,

I have set up a DNN 4.02 site. Currently registration asks for several fields. I wanted to figure out how I can make the registration ask only for a screen name, a password and a email address.

What I would like to have is the Email address be the username. and the screen name only to provide privacy to the user.

Has any one done this?

How would you do this?

All feedback is welcome.

You can remove some of the required registration fields.

Log on as a SuperUser and go to the Registration page and uncheck the fields you don't need.

Hope it helps.

Sorry, removing all fields is currently not possible in DNN. You can hide several optional input boxes by setting the controls visibility to false in ascx files.

Please notice, that there will be major enhancements in DN 3.3/4.1 concerning the membership components. Please have a look into the latest blog posts.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
