Hi All,

I've created a custom "Forgot Password" module. I'm using the Mail.SendMail() with the message type of PasswordReminder. I get an email with the username but not the password. Below this the code snippet: When I look at the UserInfo.Membership the password property is null. Is there something else I need to set in order to get the password. It does work if I use the default DNN Forgot Password. I get the email with the username and password. Any help is greatly appreciated.

String email = GetEmailPerMRN(mrn, moduleid);UserInfo dnnuser = new UserInfo();UserController dnnctrl = new UserController();if (email != null || email != String.Empty)PPLoginInfo ppmember = GetPartnerPrgmMember(moduleid, mrn);if (ppmember != null && ppmember.DnnUserId != -1)Mail.SendMail(dnnuser, MessageType.PasswordReminder, PortalSettings);else

{

valforgotpwd_mrn_required.ErrorMessage =

valforgotpwd_mrn_required.Visible =

}

"No Email was found for the MRN you provided.";true;

{

{

dnnuser = dnnctrl.GetUser(PortalId, ppmember.DnnUserId);

}

}

For security reasons, password needs to be populated explicitly.

All,

I figured it out. I use UserController.GetPassword(ref dnnuser, "") to get the password.

Thanks,

Edward
