While installing DNN 4.0.2, I got the following error message:
"Configuring web site to ASP.NET 2.0 failed. You may need to manually configure this site for ASP.NET 2.0 in order for your site to run correctly."

My questions:
1. How serious a problem is this? (IE: do I need to fix it at all?)
2. How do I manually configure the site for ASP.NET 2.0?

I have the .NET framework 2.0 installed, but I also have .NET framework 1.1 and a hotfix installed (it must have come with the computer). Should I remove 1.1 so only 2.0 is left?

I have not seen this error before.....odd

you can chage what version your site is using from the IIS property pages.  Open IIS manager and right click you site, select the ASP.NET tab and this is where you can change the .NET version

Thanks for your help, that may have solved the problem. When I got to IIS properties, under ASP.NET version, the box was blank - neither 1.1 nor 2.0 was selected. That's probably what the problem was.
