Hi,

My problem is not related to above post, but also with the upgrade from 5.0.0->5.0.1. I unzipped the source over my current install, then went to my site, it upgraded fine. It showed my custom modules on the homepage too, but when i wanted to log in using my host account, i got this:

A critical error has occurred.
Method not found: 'Void DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.Data.DataProvider.UpdateUser(Int32, Int32, System.String, System.String, System.String, System.String, Boolean, Boolean)'.

I know i'm running a custom membershipprovider, but it reports no missing functions i forgot to adapt, so i'm at a loss what is happening here.

As there are now four different people all with completely different issues this thread as got confusing. I suggest this thread is abandoned and people create seperate threads.

Mahdi (the original poster) - when you create your new thread can you please give steps to reproduce.. Not sure what you mean by nothing installed/nothing changed, you don't describe where you see your error (a module?), and if you can you need to find error messages from the DNN event viewer in the Admin menu.

Thanks

Alex Shirley
