Hi All.

I upgraded to 5.0.1 from 4.9.0 this evening, and still trying to weed through some issues. The major one right now seems to be that the "register" link that you normally find next to the "login" link seems to be missing, eventhough my site is set to "private". When I click on login, I see a register link under the username/password box, but when I click on it, nothing seems to happen.

I have tried setting it to "none", hit update... then go back, set it to "private", and update again... no dice. Was hoping that a setting was off, and this would reset it. no such luck.

If I set my site to "verified", I still don't see a link on the home page (next to "log in"), but on the login page, when clicking on "register", it does come up with the registration page including all the required fields.

This is driving me nuts... please let me know if you've seen this before, and what it might take to fix this?

Thanks,
Mike

Well that was a lucky guess... Fixed. I had to edit my main .aspx for my skin and make sure this was in there:

<dnn:USER runat="server" ID="dnnUSER" /> | <dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" />

It was missing the dnn:USER part. Guess that's what you get when trying to use free upconverted DNN4 -> DNN5 skins. UGH.

OK... 1 of 2 parts was solved. I'm still having an issue on the actual login page where you type in your username/password. The "Register" link does not go anywhere or do anything when you click on that.

Any ideas how to solve that one?

Thanks,
Mike
