I'm a bit confused over what should be really basic functionality for user management. We just launched our portal, and one of my tasks is to go through and configure new users' permissions - not the same for every member (depends upon role within our organization). Needless to say, there are quite a few people associated with our organization (about a thousand) in various roles (staff, volunteers, etc) and they're not all creating accounts at once.

Therefore, I need to return frequently to assign permissions to the newest users - but there's no way to sort the user list by newest users! So, I'm having to go through screen after screen after screen, and set permissions for each user who seems to be new.

Is there something I'm missing, or a module I'll need to purchase to remedy this issue? Surely others have realized this oversight, and have developed a solution? Any help would be hugely appreciated!
