I have setup a DNN instance on Godaddy and everything seemed to go just fine.  That is, until I created a portal, realized some of the settings were incorrect and then I tried to delete the portal.  Upon deleting it, I received this error:

Error: Portals is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. ---> System.IO.IOException: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String path, String userPathOriginal, String searchPattern, Boolean includeFiles, Boolean includeDirs, SearchOption searchOption) at System.IO.Directory.GetDirectories(String path, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption) at System.IO.Directory.GetDirectories(String path) at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.DeleteFilesRecursive(String strRoot, String filter) at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.DeleteFilesRecursive(String strRoot, String filter) at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.DeleteFilesRecursive(String strRoot, String filter) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.DeletePortal(PortalInfo portal, String serverPath) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Portals.Portals.grdPortals_DeleteCommand(Object source, DataGridCommandEventArgs e) in D:\Hosting\3967019\html\DesktopModules\Admin\Portals\Portals.ascx.vb:line 392 --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any suggestions?

Generally, when this kind of error surfaces, it is due to the limitations imposed by the hosting environment.  It sounds your account has exceeded its memory or request/response allotment set by your hosting provider.

I would have thought the same thing; however, I put a support call into GoDaddy and they said they saw no suspicious activity on the server.  That doesn't mean I believe them because their reponse came back way too quick.  Is there any piece of information I could take back to them so that they could check if a limitation is being breached?

The first thing you could bring to them is the error message you received and the date/time you received it.  However, there is a reality that we must face about support staff members.  They are not all trained the same, some are lazy or don't pay attention, and others simply are not very knowledgeable.  That being said, you can re-contact any support team 10 times in a row, and possibly have a different support experience every time.

I would bet money that they looked at the current server resources, saw nothing wrong, and replied to you.  They should have also checked the server event log for the date/time that you experienced the error.  I would suggest that you contact them again.
