I am using DNN 4.09.01.

I have successfully created a custom skin and container for the main portal (under the /Portals/0/Skins/MySkin and /Portals/0/Containers/MySkin paths). I then exported the template for this portal and attempted to create a new portal on another DNN installation, however the generated portal.template.resources file is missing the skin and container .ascx files. All other files and subfolders under the skin and container folders were included, just not the most important ones!

Is this a known issue (I searched but could not find anything) or am I just doing it wrong somehow?

I could manually include these files into the resources file before creating portals based on this template, but I'm pretty sure this should not be necessary.

I can provide more information as necessary. Thank you in advance.
