I can't seem to upload a 36 meg file.  I read the threads and they talk about a timeout varaible but I did not see it in my config.  Here is what I have:

    <!-- allow large file uploads -->
    <httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="8192" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" />
    <httpCookies httpOnlyCookies="true" requireSSL="false" domain="" />

How can I modify this so I can upload an exe file to play when the link is clicked?

The 8192 limits file sizes to 8192 kb or about 8 mb.  Make it larger if you need to upload a 36 meg file.

But, if you have ftp access to your directory, it might be easier to upload it that way.

thanks for your response. I made it larger to about 50192 for both cases and it still gave me an error.  do you recomment another size.

Also I do have ftp, but I could only ftp to a directory that did not show on file manager and when I use the url option, it save the file but did not open it.

I also ftp to a file directory that was on the root, but when I try to link to that file in that directory it did not show up.

Please helP.

i found that I have to "add" the execution timeout element

What would be the recommended timeout for a user with dial-up access to be able to upload a 100MB zip file?
Yes, it's necessary for me to be able to do that. I am creating a portal for myself and others in our company to be able to upload cell site test results and construction documentation and often those exceed 50MB. So... what are you're thoughts on the executionTimeout value?
