Hello everybody,

I'm pretty new to DNN. In my website I have to maintain (add, edit, delete) hospitals and doctors which work there. So in DB design it's a classic 1:n relationship.
So I want to provide a simple user interface where you can enter the information.

Reading about UDT, I seemed like the perfect solution.
But now I've come across several problems and I'm not sure if UDT is the right thing here.

1.) I need primary keys (int) for the tables with autoincrement - is this possible here?
2.) The structure of the db tables UDT creates is a little different than I imagined. Is it possible to bind UDT to predefined tables?
3.) Since hospitals and doctors have a 1:n relationship, the doctors table need a foreign key pointing to a hospital.
So when I add a new doctor he/she has to be assigned to one of the existing hospitals. Is it possible to provide a dropdownlist with the existing hospitals in
      UDT?

Thanks for your help,

Thorsten

Sorry to disapoint you, UDT doesn't handle relationships between different (UDT) tables.

More answers:
1) no 2) no 3) no (you can enter a comma separated list of hospitals as source for a dropdownlist)
