Hi

We are upgrading to SQL 2008, the data server is Win 2008 + 64bit SQL 2008.

Our current dnn runs on win 2003 + sql 2005 (express).  The new DNN will be a clean DNN version 5.xx, hopefully using SQL 2008.

Has anyone installed DNN on SQL 2008 ??  Is there anything to look out for or any additional documents I should see or anything I need to be aware of.

Any help or advice would be most welcome.

 Cheers - Guy

I don't think there's anything different that you'll need to change or be aware of for SQL 2008.

Hope that helps,

Even if you found an issue that was due to the version (v2008) of the db server, you can override that by setting compatibility levels independentky for each database. So several db's can be set to SQL Server 2005 compat, a couple other sto SQL Server 2008 compat, etc. Version specific features are enabled/disabled appropriately.

All that aside, no issues from here. We run all DNN sites on 64 bit WIndows Server 2008 / 64 bit SQL Server 2008.

I used SQL 2008 express with my new installation and it worked fine.  Not one hiccup.
