I had my site basically populated and have started to add users, and it was working fine. I clicked on my logo image, and I got a server error. The link being displayed had the file: Default.aspx as the destination, so I renamed this file and tried to replace it with a redirector, this did not work, so I deleted the redirector and renamed Default.aspx as itself. Then I started to be unable to log in to my site, when I click on the log in button, it basically just refreshes my home page. Any suggestions?

re-unzip all files to make sure, you did not falsely deleted the wrong one.

I have restored the original file, but my situation has not changed.  Is there something else that could have caused my login button to stop working?

Something else that was done right before this happened was: I was going through the Advanced settings: page management section, and I set the splash page, Home page and Login page as the Home page. I have reviewed the Default.aspx file in notepad and it is the same as the original. I have 15 pages of content built in to this site and no matter what page I am on, when I click on the "Login" button I am sent back to the home page.

in Database, table portals make sure the value of field LoginTab is set to Null.
