hi all,

can i know how to set mail so that can send email from my host(localhost)

Go to the Host Settings page and look for the SMTP Settings section.  You'll need to enter valid parameters for the SMTP server that you will use.

 you also need to enter valid email addresses for the host user and admin user in their user profiles.

im using localhost to testing, can i set also?

if can, then how i set it?

Hi Jackhui,

Use the same SMTP settings as you use for your one of your email accounts.  Since these parameters will vary for everyone's e-mail, we can't post the exact settings you will use.  By way of example, however, it will read something like:

Server: smtp.dotnetnuke.com (Replace this with your own SMTP server, and possibly append the port -- usually 443)
Authentication: Basic
Username: Your email account username (not always the same as your email address!)
Password: Your email account password

It is also possible to configure your local IIS to relay email to a chosen provider and use localhost as your SMTP server.  This is a more advanced configuration; Google for details.
