Hi all,

I have a very big DotNetNuke site, so skin.css is very heavy. There are multiple layouts (skins) for module also, so my skin.css contains almost 400k images and other css markups. The problem is, my home page is loading too slowly and other pages are also. The reason is obvious,  every intial request from the browser loads all the images referenced by css and all pages becomes slower at the initial request

Also i don't need default.css, portal.css etc in the portal, is there any way we can stop it referencing?

I would look at breaking up your skin into multiple skins within your package, and have a single skin.css file that contains all of the common elements, along with individual skinname.css files that correspond to skinname.ascx files.

If you don't need portal.css and default.css I would simply remove the contents of those files, make them empty files. Otherwise you will have to modify the core code of DNN to make it so they don't load, this is definitely not recommended.
