I am trying to use FileUpload Ajax control, which by the way works perfect on other pages, inside a DNN 4.8.x module.

After selecting any file, I can see inside the iFrame that it renders the whole page of DNN, and to be exact, the default page.

Am I doing something wrong? The same code works fine anywhere else.

theres typically 2 reasons,

1. the control doesn't work as your page isn't xhtml (http://www.engagesoftware.com/Blog/EntryId/61/Using-ASP-NET-AJAX-UpdatePanels-in-DotNetNuke.aspx)

or

2. (likely to be the problem). upload controls work via postabacks, and cannot work asyncronoisly i.e. under ajax. If your page is using an updatepanel it will fail unless the control registers as a postback rather than async - http://blog.dmbcllc.com/2009/02/26/dotnetnuke-fileuploadcontrol-danger/

Cathal thanx for your time. I don't think this is the problem here. This is a custom control, that builds an iFrame where it does the job for it, and after the postback, it grabs the file from the filesystem and does whatever the user wants. The problem here is that when posting in the iframe, it does not contain any tabid information, so DNN, redirects to home page, thus loosing any information of the postback data.

I also posted this on their forum in Codeplex, but got no answer for days now. I am trying to make it postback on another page, so I can handle the postback data, but it seems there is no property were I could request this.
