created a role Editors and gave it Edit permission on Page.gave it Edit permission on Text/Html. User1 belong to Editors

issue 1, there is a  FlashImageRotator on page but User1 can edit it. I don't want User1be able to edit it. 

issue 2,on control panel, for User1, the Select A Module dropdown list is empty. I need the Text/Html in it. I have gave Edit permission to Editors on Text/Html module

#1:  Remove the edit permissions for User1 on the page, and just give edit permissions on the module.

#2:  If you give the user edit permissions on the page, they should be able to add any module to the page.

 

You now have the problem of allowing the users to add modules (requires page edit permissions) but you don't want him to be able to edit a particular module.  I haven't tried this, but you can try setting the deny permission for that module.

I have added deny permission to User1 for that module, but User1 can still edit it.

Besides, User1 need to be able to add page,edit page and add others modules.

have set deny permission for all the roles on that module,only admin has edit permission , have uncheck the 'Inherit View permissions from Page' box, but that user can still edit that module. please help
