Hi, I would like to only show the start date of events and their title in the list view. Is there a way to do this without changing the ascx file? I still would like to pick up the language setting so the date can be shown in different formats.

If editing the ascx is the only solution how can I check for the users language setting?

Thanks

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

In 4.0.2 you have to update the ascx. In 5.0.0 you will be change the format through the templating mechanism.

Have a look at thge date formating strings here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/97x6twsz.aspx - If you look at the standard date patterns and use something such as 'd' then this will then output the date in the appropriate localised format. i.e. dd/mm/yy for UK and mm/dd/yy for US

Cheers
Roger

Hi Ritesh,

This is nothing to do with which version of DNN you have installed, and more to do with which version of the Events module you are using. This isn't configurable in version 4.0.2, it is within version 5.0.0 which is currently going through the release process.

Cheers
Roger
