 Hi,

I saw a number of similar posts here but still couldn't find an answer on my question. Here is the configuration: standalone Windows Server 2008, DNN is running on IIS 7 fine, smtp service is installed on the same box. 

DNN has following smtp settings:

SMTP server: web.itpro.kz

Authentication: anonimous

There is no username and password.

If you test smtp configuration it says that message successfully sent but in fact it stuck in the DROP directory. When I try to send an e-mail using a DNN form it also stucks.

I have verified smtp service is running, smtp protocol is opened on servers' firewall. Everything should be working but no mail is going out!

Well, now I am listening to Freddie Mercury "I am going slightly mad". Please help!

 if the mail is stuck in an SMTP server directory, you need to check SMTP server configuration, there is nothing to be done in DotNetNuke, which simply calls the .Net SendMail method.

 this depends on the SMTP server product, you are using.

The smtp belongs to Windows server 2008 IIS. The issue is resolved now thanks for your time and attention!!! DNN is great, I love it!!!

How do I change the thread status to resolved?
