Pinned post, top of the Skinning forum has plenty of links and information on skinning DNN 5.  A search of the blogs as well as the forums will get you more.

One other choice if you have access to your server either directly or through ftp, is simply to copy the skins and containers to the site under portals > _default  > [skins / containers]  make sure you creat the directory then extract them to that directory.  Works fine.  That being said though, you may have to tweak them slightly depending on how old they are.  But I haven't had any issues doing that.

You can always go back and parse the packages later if you want.

Actually i got standard skin from dnn creative.com.

This skin looks standard and simple with a single light theme and it has only a single css file. Hence modifying it is easy and less time consuming.

Default dnn skin package contains overall 10 css files. To modify all of them could be a little complicated and time consuming.

Thanks

Swaminathan.
