We are experiencing the problem The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist for our running websites. That is after some time some of our running websites are down and show this message. When we check the database, we don't see database objects. We are unable to figure out what's the exact cause for it.

We are using server db connection string that is

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=MyServer;Initial Catalog=MyDB;User ID=MyUser;Password=MyPass" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />.

Please guide us in resolving this issue.

This sounds like a SQL Server issue.  What version of SQL Server are you using?  When you say you don't see database objects, are you logged in as a DBA and still don't see them?  Is this a remote or locate SQL Server?  Is this a hosted website or a server that you control?

We are using DNN 4.X and SQL Server 2005 Standard edition. All the websites are hosted but some of them are experienceing the problem. The database server is remotely located in a data center that is we have purchased the SQL Server Services. We create the database and the user from the web interface.Once database gets created we log into it via SQL Server Management Studio Express with database user which is also the owner of database. We have gone through IIS logs and have found nothing.

Do you not see any database objects or is it just GetPortalByID that you don't see?  If it's just GetPortalByID, then I'd recommend creating that object (either I or some other kind soul can post the script for that particular object).  However, if it's many/all objects, then I think you've got a SQL Server issue.

Have you looked through the SQL Server logs for this time period?

All database objects are dropped. We have seen SQL Server Logs sent to us by the Data Center but found nothing. We haven't viewed the transaction log file for the database. What we have done is that we have created another user having db_datareader and db_datawriter roles. We have made all stored procedures public. We have defined this user in the web.config file. Moreover, we have removed the default accounts for 'host' and 'admin' from the DNN.
