Hi Frinds

Do you know if there is a why to make a default user role for registrations. I mean, after a user get registered I whant it to be only in a user role I create, and after some verification by admin, it change it to the common user role.

Thanks

Javier

It sounds like you want to change your site from "PUBLIC" registration to "PRIVATE" registration.

When using "PRIVATE" registration, the register link is available for new account signups but new registrants' accounts are not "Approved" until an admin manually validates that user.  The end result is the same as withholding the "Registered Users" role until a user is validated since the user will not be able to log in and access protected pages/content until validated.

MMM, nop, that is not what I whant, but meaby I can use that. Becouse I whant the person to fill an application form that have to be authorized before they enter to the protected pages. What I think is that I can create a role, "authorized" put all the pages under that role, so the default role "Registered Users" can't acces to the pages, only to the application form.

Thanks

Javier

Ah, I see....approval based on submitted content of a custom registration/application form.

I think what you really want, then, is the Dynamic Registration module in conjunction with "PRIVATE" registration.  Dynamic Registration is very nice for administering custom forms and creating user accounts in a single step (but it's not free).

Cheers!
