Hi all,

i am making a skin whom contain two menus: One horizontal and One Vertical. it would be easy if both menus contain the same menu items/links but i need to populate the different menu items/links in the each menu e.g horizontal and vertical? i have tried the following things:

  •  i firstly started with the two [dnn:nav] controls with different ids it works fine but it replicates the menu items/links which is not in my requirement
  • then i used  one [dnn:nav] control with horizontal display and one [dnn:menu] control with vertical display but again it relicates the menu items/links.

in short i need to use two menu controls which displays the different menu items/links. Can any one tell me any thing which i am missing, any attribute or somthing which might solve my problem.....

thanks.

DNN currently does not allow you to build two different sets of menu tab structure. Most people use one of them - either horisontal or vertical to be populated as is by dnn. The other one can be child tabs. You could use link module to link to specific pages on your site. I have not looked recently as there may be also some third party menu that can be set to go to specific pages on your site.

I am a happy user of the Snapsis Nav Menu.  It will do what you want to do.

I'm sure that there are other menu products that also will do it.
