Hi,

Trying to set DNN as blog module for a client project.  I see that tags, tag clouds are  not part of dnn blog at this point?

What are the alternatives?

Anyone tried building one ? Or any 3rd party solutions available  ?

Hi Anand,

there are several 3rd party modules that bring tags to DNN, one of the best known and with an affordable price is iFinity Tagger Module.

With all due respect to Bruce, I do not think that is the kind of option the original poster needed. Blog module should be providing Tagging support on its own imho. Besides, I use the ifinity tagger module and its not cheap in my opinion. Neither is the experience/bugs as great as I would have expected for something so steeply priced. Sorry, just my opinion (lame or not).

Hi Subodh,

there's no doubt that having tagging features out of the module would be much better than having to use a 3rd party module. And having them as a framework wide feature, shared and implemented by all the desktop modules would be even better. We are ppushing for the second option, by the way.

Regarding iFinity Tagger, I have no experience in it, and I didn't mean to suggest to Anand to use it. It was just the first that came to my mind, but there's may more available.

Guys,

Thanks a lot for  the  replies.  Yes, I would prefer it being part of DNN blog itself.

Any idea whether the  following features are in Pipeline:

a) Multiple blogs for the  same user

b) Tag clound

c) Blog rolls (I think this  can be implemented using links)

Are these planned  for future  releases  ? Any idea of time  when they would be available ?
