Hello chaps

I'm trying to modify the registration email that goes to the site admin when someone joins up. I need to include the complete profile data, including some custom fields.

This is the item I'm changing: EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_ADMINISTRATOR_BODY.Text

And this is the data I'm using

Date: [Date:Current]
Sign-in name: [User:username]
First Name: [Profile:FirstName]
Last Name: [Profile:LastName]
Email: [User:Email]
Job Title: [Profile:JobTitle]
Company: [Profile:Company]
Industry: [Profile:Industry]
Street: [Profile:Street]
City or town: [Profile:City]
Postal Code: [Profile:PostalCode]
Telephone: [Profile:Telephone]
Mobile: [Profile:Cell]
Website: [Profile:Website]
Region: [Profile:Region]
Country: [Profile:Country]

The fields all exist, but when I test it out, the email is not delivered. There are no log errors or anything else to indicate what is wrong.

Can anyone spot an error in this?

Regards
Rob

Rob,

is there a related entry listed in EventLog?

did you require the profile to be filled in during registration?

wich DNN version?

Hi Sebastian,

There's nothing in the log, no errors anywhere.

All fields apart from Mobile: [Profile:Cell] are required - does an empty profile field cause this to fail?

This is on DNN 4.9.2

I guess I can try adding the fields one at a time and see which one breaks it.

In addition to what Sebastian has asked.  Is it just this email your are having problems or all?

This is the first time I've attempted to use additional profile tokens in any of the site notifications, and I'm only assuming that they are designed to work in these emails. The notifications all work fine otherwise... only when I use the new tokens does it stop working.

I'm adding them by way of a portal-specific resource file "GlobalResources.Portal-33.resx". The file contains customisations for other labels and they are working fine, so I'm pretty confident about everything but the tokens themselves.

I'll have to try them on a test portal one at a time and see what happens, unless there is a reason why they wont' work regardless.
