At this point I don't know if there'll be a satisfactory fix for 4.9.x yet.

It won't be a Windows Service but under the DNN Scheduler.

There's two ways of doing it. Install the Source version on your dev portal and the files will be automatically extracted or change SourceFiles.resources to .zip and the .vb files are in there.

Has there been any additional work completed on the problem described in this thread? Our installation is suffering from the same issue and we are looking for a solution. We are attempting to manage all of our authors and content admin through Active Directory. We have over 150 security groups defined in AD. There are two groups - one for content authors and one for module admin - that represent each department. DNN also has approximately 150 Security Roles defined with the exact same spelling to match AD. Our plan was to enable automatic synchronization but the login regularly times out when this option is enabled.

First, is there an upgrade to the DNN_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication extension that would fix this problem? We are currently running 5.0.2.

Second, do you have a script that we could run to sync either nightly or on demand?
